This notice explains what personal data GAIN - Game Asset Index processes and how users can exercise privacy rights.

Data We Process

Account data includes email address, authentication identifiers, subscription state, billing customer references, and support messages.

Library data includes asset names, source URLs, package identifiers, license notes, tags, art style, compatible engine versions, screenshots or imported metadata, package file inventories, projects, planned-use notes, usage links, scanner suggestions, saved searches, and similar information you add to the service.

Technical data may include logs, security events, request metadata, error details, browser and device information needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service. Aggregate analytics may include page visits and non-identifying product events such as imports, project scans, preview opens, audio playback starts, sign-in prompts, magic-link requests, and checkout starts.

Local Files and Previews

Unity project source files and .unitypackage contents scanned through the browser are not uploaded to GAIN - Game Asset Index servers. Local previews, waveform data, project folder handles, package file handles, and source file handles are generated and stored in browser storage on the device where scanning or package import happens.

Library metadata and project records that you save to your account are stored server-side so they can be used across sessions.

Purposes and Legal Bases

Data is processed to provide the app, authenticate users, save asset-library records, enforce plan limits, process subscriptions, provide support, maintain security, understand aggregate product usage, and comply with legal obligations.

The legal bases are contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests in security and service operation, and consent where a feature specifically asks for consent.

Processors

Supabase is used for authentication and database hosting. Stripe is used for payment processing, checkout, tax calculation, invoices, subscriptions, and the billing portal.

Google Analytics is used for optional aggregate analytics after analytics consent. GAIN - Game Asset Index does not send Google Analytics email addresses, user IDs, asset names, project names, file names, file paths, source URLs, package IDs, search terms, or account state. Advertising features, remarketing, Google Signals, and personalized ads are not used.

Email and infrastructure providers may process support, hosting, delivery, and operational records as needed to provide the service.

Retention and Deletion

Account and library data is retained while the account is active or as needed for billing, security, legal, and accounting records. Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete account data.

You can request deletion, export, correction, or access by contacting admin@gameassetindex.com. Some billing, tax, security, or accounting records may need to be retained when required by law.

Your Rights

EU users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, receive a copy of data, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Requests can be sent to admin@gameassetindex.com from the account email when possible.
